DOTD announces times for movable bridge closures in Acadiana

UPDATE #3: All movable bridges in Acadiana have returned to normal operations.


UPDATE #2: Jeanerette Bridge over the Bayou Teche on La. 671 has returned to normal operations.

UPDATE: DOTD announces that the following movable bridges are without power and are closed to marine traffic.

  • IBERIA PARISH - Jeanerette Bridge over Bayou Teche on La. 671
  • ST. MARY PARISH - Adeline Bridge over the Bayou Teche on La. 670

All other movable bridges in Acadiana have returned to normal operations.



ACADIANA REGION, LA
- With the threat of severe weather, DOTD announces that beginning Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the following movable bridges located in the Acadiana region will be closed at the following times:

  • Humble Canal Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 2 p.m.
  • Little Prairie Bridge will be closed to marine traffic at 4 p.m.
  • La. 14 Bypass Bridge will be closed to marine traffic at 4 p.m.
  • Perry Bridge will be closed to marine traffic at 8 p.m.
  • Delcambre Bridge will be closed to marine traffic at 9 p.m.

All other movable bridges in the Acadiana region will cease operations beginning at midnight on Wednesday, September 11.
