UPDATE - REOPENED: US 371 in Sibley, Webster Parish


(UPDATE 6/28/2024): DOTD advises motorists that these repairs are complete and US 371 in Sibley, Webster Parish has been REOPENED. We appreciate your patience.

Original notification:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, US 371 in both directions in the Town of Sibley in Webster Parish is closed due to a water leak that is impacting the integrity of the roadway.

The closure is located near the intersection of SE. 4th Street in Sibley.

At this time, there is timeline on reopening of the roadway. The water line will need to be repaired by the Town of Sibley, and repairs made to the roadway.

DOTD will issue an update when additional information is available.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
