NOW OPEN: DOTD announces temporary closure of La. 31 (Main Highway) due to fallen tree

UPDATE: La. 31, from Noel Lane to Frederick Road, is now OPEN to traffic.

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. - DOTD announces that effective immediately, La. 31 (Main Highway) in Breaux Bridge, from Noel Lane to Frederick Road, is closed to traffic as a result of a fallen tree and down power lines blocking the road.

The detours for this closure include the following:

  • La. 31 to Poche Bridge Highway to Anse Broussard Highway (La. 328)
  • La. 31 to La. 355 to La. 347 to Anse Broussard Highway (La. 328)

Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
