- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) announces that work has started on a $2,653,000.30 sidewalk project.

The project consists of reconstructing new water mains within the area along various routes in the City of Carencro as well new safety enhancements including sidewalks, handicap ramps, driveways, and related work.

These routes include:
  • East Saint Peter Street
  • North Church Street
  • Andre Street
  • Jack Street
This project is the second phase of an ongoing waterline project.

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures may be necessary to perform the work in each area; therefore, drivers should expect some delays.

The project is estimated for completion in November 2024.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
