DOTD Announces Engineer Intern Hiring Event

Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) invites recent engineering graduates and early-career engineers to its hiring event on Tuesday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at DOTD headquarters located at 1201 Capitol Access Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

Candidates must be eligible for a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate. There are Engineer Intern Applicant positions available statewide, offering valuable on-the-job training for professionals in the engineering field. As a part of the hiring process, interviews will be conducted until all vacancies are filled. For those unable to attend in person, virtual interviews can be arranged by contacting HR specialist Sandra Graham at sandra.graham@la.gov.

During the event, selected applicants will have the opportunity to receive a conditional job offer on the spot, provided they possess a valid driver’s license and Social Security card.

This hiring event is part of DOTD’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineers through hands-on experience and training. Potential candidates have the unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the engineering field with one of the state’s leading engineering bodies.
