DOTD Announces Lane Closures for I-10 Widening and Reconstruction Project

Baton Rouge, La- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces a series of lane closures as part of the I-10 Widening Project in East Baton Rouge Parish. These closures, which are necessary for the progression of the project, will affect both day and night traffic patterns. DOTD advises motorists that construction activities are contingent on weather conditions and may be subject to change.

Daytime Closures:
  • I-10 Westbound at Perkins Rd. on-ramp
    • Monday, April 29 to Sunday, May 12:
    Intermittent on-ramp closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • I-10 Eastbound at Perkins Rd. exit
    • Sunday, May 5:
    Intermittent outside lane closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Nighttime Closures:
  • I-10 Westbound at Perkins Rd. on-ramp
    • Sunday, May 5 to Monday, May 6:
    Full on-ramp closure from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • I-10 Westbound at Perkins Rd. on-ramp
    • Monday, May 6 to Friday, May 10:
    Full on-ramp closure from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • I-10 Westbound from Acadian Thruway to Lorri Burgess Ave.
    • Monday, May 6 to Friday, May 10:
    One lane closed beginning at 7 p.m. followed by a second adjacent lane closure at 10 p.m. All lanes open by 5 a.m.
