Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that an emergency closure is in place for both lanes of Interstate 10 Eastbound at Gum Gully Bridge (Mile Marker 5).
The closure is necessary for removal and recovery of an overturned vehicle.
DOTD will issue an update once the lane closure is lifted.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
