The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, on Monday, April 22, 2024, the LA 6 at LA 191 intersection, in Sabine Parish, will be temporarily closed for pavement work. This will require the roadway to be closed to all LA 191 traffic, as each lane is worked on. The traveling public should expect temporary disruptions, of up to two hours, when arriving at this intersection. The work is expected to be completed the same day; however, may be extended into Tuesday, April 23.

No state detours are assigned and expect delays.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
