UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 515 near US 71, Red River Parish
(UPDATE 4/15/2024): DOTD advises motorists that this section of LA 515 in Red River Parish has been reopened. Please be on the lookout for crews and equipment as the railroad company continues any necessary clean-up operations.

(Original notification 4/10/2024):
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 515 from LA 514 to US 71 in Red River Parish is currently closed due to a train crash involving a vehicle.
Local traffic will be able to pass through the closure area. The roadway is closed to through traffic.
The railroad company is currently on site beginning clean-up operations. DOTD will issue a notification when those operations are complete and the roadway has been reopened.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
