UPDATES:ROADS REOPENED: LA 1204 & LA 623, Rapides Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following roadways in Rapides Parish are REOPENED to traffic.
- LA 1204, approx. 1.78 miles from US 165
- LA 623, approx. 0.62 miles from US 165
ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO HIGH WATER: LA 1204 & LA 623, Rapides Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following roadways in Rapides Parish are closed due to high water as a result of recent heavy rainfall.
- LA 1204, approx. 1.78 miles from US 165
- LA 623, approx. 0.62 miles from US 165
DOTD reminds motorists to never drive around or move ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason. This behavior is extremely unsafe, as well as against the law.
Additionally, never drive through standing water, no matter how shallow the water appears to be.
