The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, April 1, 2024 construction will begin on LA 524 in Grant Parish. This work will begin at the intersection of LA 524 and US 165 and proceed north for 4.4 miles. Construction will then begin on LA 502 at the intersection of LA 502 and US 165 and continue north for 1.5 miles to the intersection of LA 502 and LA 500. The final segment of roadway associated with this project will take place on LA 3169 at the intersection of LA 3169 and US 71 and continue north for 1.1 miles to the intersection of LA 3169 and LA 8.

The intent of this project is to replace drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete overlay, and other related work.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC, in the amount of $3,705,301.35. The work associated with this project should take approximately 100 working days to complete.

Permit/Detour Section
Thru traffic will be maintained at all times with oversize and emergency vehicles allowed passage.
There will be no detour routes for this project.
