$1.6 Million Pavement Preservation Project Coming to Iberia Parish

IBERIA PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, April 3, 2024 a $1.6 million construction project will begin on a 1.82-mile section of La. 3195 (Emile Verret Rd.) from La. 182 to La. 86.

The project consists pavement patching, milling asphalt concrete, asphalt concrete overlay, guard rail, pavement markings, and related work.

Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be alternating lanes closures throughout this project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion by summer of 2024.
