UPDATE - REOPENED: Tremont Rest Area, I-20 eastbound, Lincoln Parish
(UPDATE): The Tremont Rest Area on I-20 eastbound in Lincoln Parish has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the Tremont Rest Area located on I-20 eastbound near Choudrant (mile marker 95) in Lincoln Parish is closed.
This closure is necessary due to electrical issues at the sewer treatment plant.
The rest area will be closed until further notice, and DOTD will issue an update when additional information becomes available.
The Tremont Rest Area on I-20 westbound remains open at this time.
