UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 577 near Poverty Point, West Carroll Parish
(UPDATE: 2/17/2024): DOTDadvises motorists that this work is complete and this roadway has been REOPENED.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, LA 577, approximately one mile east its intersection with LA 17, in West Carroll Parish is closed.
This emergency road closure is necessary due to a culvert under the roadway that has collapsed. The closure is anticipated to remain in place for approximately five days. (see included map)
DOTD will issue a notification when repairs are complete and the roadway has been reopened.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. ALL vehicles will need to detour.
Alternate Route: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
