DOTD announces start of $51.7M highway preservation project in St. Mary Parish

ST. MARY PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, December 11, work will begin on a $51.7 million preservation project on U.S. 90 in St. Mary Parish.

The project will begin west of its interchange with La. 318 and end east of its interchange with La. 83.

PROJECT DETAILS

Work will consist of following:

  • Milling, pavement patching and asphalt concrete overlay for U.S. 90 mainline and frontage roads
  • Bonded concrete overlay, temporary concrete barriers, median crossover diversion roads and bridge repairs for U.S. 90 mainline
  • Base construction, bridge repairs, asphalt overlay, bonded concrete overlay and concrete pavement for on/off ramps, and related work

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the possibility of day and night work seven days a week, weather permitting.

This project is estimated for completion in April 2025.
