ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning November 6, 2023, construction will commence on a $5.84 million drainage improvement project along La. 352 from La. 347 to 0.473 miles east of La. 349, as well as along the I-10 eastbound on ramp at La. 347.

This project involves installing new drainage structures, earthwork, asphalt concrete mill and overlay and related work.

The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore, drivers should expect delays. There will also be two planned road closure events on La. 352 during the project, which is necessary to install drainage structures across the roadway.

Emergency vehicles will have access through this area, except during the planned road closure events, which will be announced at a later date.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 11-foot lane restriction along La. 352 on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

The project is estimated to be complete in May 2024.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
