DOTD announces upcoming highway construction project on La. 347 in St. Martin Parish

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, October 16, construction will begin on a $11.96 million project along La. 347 from La. 350 to La. 351.
This project consist of milling asphaltic concrete, pavement patching, asphalt overlay, drainage improvements and related work.
The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore, drivers should expect delays.
Emergency vehicles will have access through this area.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
The project is estimated to be complete in February 2025.
