ROAD CLOSURE: I-20 eastbound at the Mississippi River Bridge, Madison Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the Mississippi Department of Transportation is planning to close the eastbound lanes of I-20 at the Mississippi River Bridge on the night of Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Additionally, one westbound lane will be closed.
The closures are scheduled to begin at 11:30 p.m. on September 12th, and are necessary to allow Mississippi DOT to remove and replace overhead signage.
According to Mississippi DOT, the closures will last for approximately one hour, during which time motorists should expect heavy traffic impacts.
All lanes are anticipated to be reopened by 6:00 a.m. on September 13th.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead and seek an alternate route during the closure timeframe.
Restrictions/Permits: Total eastbound closure on I-20 at the Mississippi River in Madison Parish. All eastbound vehicles will need to detour.
