UPDATE - CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROL: LA 28 East at Stilley Road, Rapides Parish
(UPDATE 8/31/2023 2:30PM): DOTD crews have poured a new concrete foundation in order to be able to re-erect the traffic signal mast arm. This process requires time for the concrete to cure before placing the mast arms.
At this time, DOTD estimates the traffic signal will be back in operation on Monday, September 4, 2023 (Labor Day).
DOTD urges you to drive with caution through the area.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the traffic signal at the intersection of LA 28 East and Stilley Road in in Rapides Parish is not operational due to damage from a crash.
At this time, DOTD will maintain free-flow traffic on LA 28 East and monitor the situation for issues. Due to no protected crossing from Stilley Road, all vehicles accessing LA 28 East from either side of Stilley Road will be restricted to right turns only.
DOTD will have a reduced speed zone in place on LA 28 East for the duration of this traffic signal outage.
At this time, DOTD is still assessing the damage so there is no estimate on how long this outage will last. DOTD urges you to drive with caution through the area.
