Update: LA 23 Temporary Road Closures May 27-29, 2023

Updated: Lane closure times and dates have been updated for this weekend:

Saturday, May 27, 2023: 1p.m.-3:30p.m.;
Sunday, May 28, 2023: 7:30a.m.-10a.m. and 1p.m.-3p.m.;
Monday, May 29, 2023: 7:30a.m.-10a.m. and 1p.m.-3p.m.

Plaquemines Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces intermittent lane closures on LA 23 near Plaquemines LNG on Saturday, May 27, 2023, and Sunday, May 28, 2023. The lane closures will occur between 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.

The lane closures are due to construction activity and large equipment deliveries near Plaquemines LNG.

Vehicles equipped with lights will be used to stop traffic, and warning signs will be in place during expected delivery times. Please reduce speed and look for stopped traffic when warning signs are visible. All work is weather permitting.
