DOTD to host public meeting for US 165 safety improvement project in Monroe


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is asking for your feedback during a public meeting to discuss a safety improvement project for US 165 in the City of Monroe.

The purpose of the meeting is to solicit feedback from residents, elected officials, interested parties, and other stakeholders, as well as to provide information regarding proposed safety improvements for the corridor.

The project involves analyzing and developing a number of improvements for US 165 from Renwick Street to LA 15 (Winnsboro Road). These improvements are aimed at benefiting all types of road users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.

The meeting will be held in an open-house format, so attendees are free to come and go at their convenience during the allotted time frame. Comments provided at the meeting will be considered as part of the project development process.
