The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that the Pat Laborde Road Bridge is OPEN to all traffic.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, April 03, 2023, Pat Laborde Road Bridge will be closed to all traffic. The purpose of this closure is to remove the existing timber bridge and replace it with a concrete slab span bridge. The bridge closure is expected to last four months.

This construction project consists of 3 bridges located on Pat LaBorde Road, Beauboeuf Road, and Guillot Road. The work consists of clearing and grubbing, removal of bridge, grading, aggregate surface course, precast concrete piles, concrete slab bridges, and related work. Subsequent press releases will be issued with the closures of the previously mentioned bridges.

This contract was awarded to Merrick, LLC in the amount of $2,080,466.35.

Permit/Detour Section
Pat Laborde Road Bridge will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the bridge construction.

The detour is as follows:

Eastbound traffic will travel west on Pat Laborde Road to the intersection of LA 1192. From there proceed east on LA 1192 to the intersection of Tucker Brouillette Road. From there proceed north on Tucker Brouillette Road to the intersection of Pat Laborde Road.

Westbound traffic will travel east on Pat Laborde Road to the intersection of Tucker Brouillette Road. From there travel east on Tucker Brouillette Road to the intersection of LA 1192. Then proceed west on LA 1192 to the intersection of Pat Laborde Road.

The detour route will be identified with proper construction signage.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
