UPDATE: ROAD REOPENED
La Hwy 3054 (Vandenburg Drive)
Alexandria, Rapides Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that LA 3054 (Vandenburg Drive), near the intersection of Coliseum Blvd (LA 28 West), IS OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC effective immediately by the City of Alexandria.

Emergency Road Closure
La Hwy 3054 (Vandenburg Drive)
Alexandria, Rapides Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that LA 3054 (Vandenburg Drive), near the intersection of Coliseum Blvd (LA 28 West) is being closed immediately by the City of Alexandria to perform an emergency water line repair. Expected time for completion is February 24, 2023.

Permit/Detour section
Recommended detour is north onto Vandenburg Drive (LA 3054), east onto Bayou Rapides Road (La 496), south onto MacArthur Drive (US 71), west onto Coliseum Blvd (La 28) and then back to Vandenburg Drive.

Safety Reminder
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
