DOTD announces emergency closure of U.S. 90 in Broussard due to hazardous spill

UPDATE: U.S. 90 FROM ALBERTSON PARKWAY TO AMBASSADOR CAFFERY PARKWAY IS NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC.
BROUSSARD, La. - Effective immediately, U.S. 90 in the east and westbound directions, between Albertson Parkway and Ambassador Caffery Parkway, is temporary closed to traffic due to a hazardous spill around the 5400 block of U.S. 90 in Broussard, Louisiana.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
DOTD will notify the general public once the road is reopened.
