DOTD announces temporary traffic control changes on La. 182 at Bayou Ramos Bridge in St. Mary Parish

UPDATE: DOTD annonces that the temporary traffic signals on La. 182 at Bayou Ramos Bridge are back in operation and all flagging has come to an end.


ST. MARY PARISH, La. - Due to a malfunction with a temporary traffic control device, effective immediately, DOTD crews will implement a continuous flagging operation to assist with traffic flow along the Bayou Ramos Bridge on La. 182 in St. Mary Parish.

Flagging operations will be in place until 10 p.m. After this time, the bridge will be completely closed to vehicular traffic, but it will reopen tomorrow, Friday, September 16, at 7 a.m. Once reopened, crews will be on-site to continue flagging operations until a new temporary traffic control device can be installed.

Motorists are encouraged to drive safely and be on the lookout for DOTD crews and their equipment.
