LA 1182 Road Closure & Detours
Avoyelles Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, September 12, 2022 at 8:30 am, weather permitting, LA 1182 will be closed from the intersection of LA 1181 at Gibbs Road to the MP Cutoff Road until 3:00 pm daily for approximately a week. These daily closures will allow for tree removal along LA 1182 in preparation for an upcoming construction project. It is anticipated that the daily closures will not impact traffic for local schools.

Permit/Detour section
Detour will be as follows:

  • Eastbound traffic for LA 1182 should proceed North on LA 1181 to the West intersection of LA 1182. Then West on LA 1182.
  • Westbound traffic for LA 1182 should proceed East on LA 1182 to the intersection of LA 1181. Then South on LA 1181.

Safety Reminder
All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
