LA 75 Bayou Sorrel Bridge remains closed following barge collision

Iberville Parish- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Bayou Sorrel Bridge on LA 75 in Iberville Parish is currently closed until further notice. A barge collided with the bridge, causing the moveable bridge to remain open.

DOTD bridge inspectors are inspecting the structural integrity of the bridge and will open it once it has been deemed safe.

Motorists can access the latest updates on real-time traffic and road conditions using the 511 Traveler Information System by dialing 511 from their telephone and saying the route or region for which they are seeking information.
