DOTD announces update to service operations for Black Bayou and Grand Lake Bridge

UPDATE: Grand Lake Bridge will return to normal operations on Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m.
CALCASIEU, La. - The Lousiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that service operations have been updated for the Black Bayou and Grand Lake Bridge.
Beginning Thursday, March 10, at 9 p.m., Black Bayou Bridge will return to normal operations. The bridge will open on call to marine traffic, which will result in some delays for motorists.
Beginning Friday, March 11, at 5 a.m., Grand Lake Bridge will only be open to vehicle traffic from 5 a.m. - 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.Message boards will be in place at the bridge to advise motorists of the allotted times for vehicle traffic. This modified schedule will remain in place until Grand Lake Bridge returns to normal operations.
