UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 526 (W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) over I-20, Caddo Parish
UPDATE (10/4/2021): DOTD advises motorists that the LA 526 (W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) overpass over I-20 in Caddo Parish has been REOPENED. We appreciate your patience.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 526 (W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) overpass over I-20 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish is CLOSED.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform necessary maintenance to the bridge deck.
DOTD will issue a notice when the maintenance work is complete and the overpass has been reopened.
Alternate Route: Total bridge closure. Detour signage will be in place. Primary alternate routes are I-20, LA 511 (W. 70th Street) and US 80.
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
