Spring Bayou Road

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, August 30, 2021, road construction will begin on Spring Bayou Road from Don Bernard Road to Spring Bayou Boat Ramp Road. Alternating lane closures are to be expected.

This 2.1 mile construction project consists of milling existing asphalt pavement, lime treatment of subgrade layer, in-place cement treated base, geogrid, asphaltic concrete roadway, and related work. Construction is expected to be completed by November 2021.

This contract was awarded to Progressive Construction in the amount of $1,678,550.89.

Permit/Detour section
A lane width restriction of 10 feet will be required during construction.
