UPDATE - I-20 at LA 532 overpass, Webster Parish


(UPDATE 8/23/2021): DOTD advises motorists that I-20 eastbound at the LA 532 overpass near Minden in Webster Parish will be CLOSED tonight, Monday, August 23, 2021.

This closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and is necessary to allow the contractor to complete final work related to the removal of the old LA 532 overpass.

Traffic will be diverted via the on and off-ramps at the LA 532 interchange. I-20 westbound will remain OPEN.

DOTD advises motorists that the closure on I-20 at the LA 532 overpass that was previously scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, August 18th has been CANCELED.

(UPDATE 8/13/2021):
DOTD advises motorists that all lanes of I-20 eastbound and westbound at the LA 532 overpass in Webster Parish will be CLOSED on the nights of Monday, August 16th, Tuesday, August 17th, and Wednesday, August 18th.

The interstate closures will take place from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night, and are necessary to allow the contractor to begin removing the old LA 532 overpass.

Traffic will be diverted via the on and off-ramps at the LA 532 interchange.

(UPDATE 8/10/2021):
DOTD advises motorists that the westbound on and off-ramps at the LA 532 overpass on I-20 in Webster Parish are now OPEN.

However, the new newly constructed overpass is not yet open to traffic, so traffic exiting I-20 westbound wishing to travel southbound may go north to US 80 to LA 531 to continue traveling southbound. There is no access over the interstate southbound on LA 532 at this time.

The contractor is continuing to work to tie in the roadway to the new bridge prior to opening the new overpass.

UPDATE (7/28/2021):
DOTD advises motorists that the I-20 eastbound on and off-ramps at the LA 532 interchange in Webster Parish are now OPEN, but traffic is only able to travel southbound on LA 532 at this time.

Additionally, the westbound on and off-ramps are now CLOSED at the LA 532 overpass. This is necessary to allow the contractor to continue tying the roadway into the newly constructed bridge.

The westbound ramp closures are anticipated to last approximately one (1) week, weather permitting.

Previous notification (7/2/2021):

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, July 12, 2021, the I-20 eastbound on and off-ramps at the LA 532 interchange near Minden in Webster Parish will be closed.

The old LA 532 overpass will also be permanently closed.

These closures are associated with the ongoing project to construct the new LA 532 overpass, and are necessary to allow the contractor to continue tying the roadway into the new bridge.

The ramp closures are anticipated to last approximately two (2) weeks, weather permitting.

The westbound on and off-ramps at LA 532 will remain open at this time.

Alternate route: I-20 eastbound can be accessed at the nearby LA 531 interchange. Motorists may travel southbound on LA 532 from Stuckey Road.

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
