UPDATE - REOPENED: US 80 overpass at I-20 near Texas state line, Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 5/27/2021 1:00PM): DOTD advises motorists that the repairs to the US 80 overpass over I-20 west of Greenwood in Caddo Parish are complete and the roadway has been REOPENED. The lane closure on I-20 eastbound at this location has also been removed.
Please travel safely.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the US 80 overpass over I-20 – approximately two (2) miles west of the Town of Greenwood - near the Texas state line in Caddo Parish is CLOSED.
This closure is to allow for DOTD crews to make repairs to the bridge deck.
Additionally, the inside eastbound lane of I-20 under the US 80 overpass at this location will also be closed to ensure the safety of motorists on the interstate while this work is underway.
Motorists should be advised that they may encounter some travel delays and congestion during this closure.
These road/lane closures will be removed once the bridge repairs are complete.
Alternate route: I-20
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure on US 80. All vehicles will need to detour using I-20.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
