DOTD announces call for Safe Routes to Public Places Program projects


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is pleased to announce the 2021 Safe Routes to Public Places Program (SRTPPP) Call for Projects.

Applications are due at the DOTD Headquarters building by Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. (not just postmarked by this date). DOTD HQ is located at 1201 Capitol Access Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

This information may be shared with any public entity who might be interested in submitting a project request to the SRTPPP.

The Safe Routes to Public Places Program is part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), which falls under the Louisiana Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). The vision and goal of the SHSP is to achieve a significant reduction in fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads (state-owned and locally-owned).
