The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 10 construction project on Monday, March 1, 2021 and will continue for approximately five (5) months. This base course reconstruction and asphalt overlay project is located on LA 10 from the intersection with Look Out Road to approximately 850 feet east of Bailey Road. This 5.8 mile long project will receive drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $2,932,801.28.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin replacing drainage structures on Monday, March 1, 2021. The roadway will remain open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a twelve (12) foot wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
