DOTD announces Atchafalaya Basin Bridge is now open to traffic

Lafayette, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in the east and westbound directions is now open to traffic.
The bridge was temporarily closed due to winter weather impacts.
If travel is essential, DOTD urges motorists to use extra caution when traveling on roadways during hazardous weather conditions especially while traveling over bridges and elevated roadways and stay off the roads whenever possible.
