DOTD encourages drivers to use masks at LA 1 toll booth

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is requesting the public’s help in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
DOTD is asking motorists to wear a mask when interacting with operators at the LA 1 toll booth in Leeville.
Safety is not only a priority on the roads, but also for motorists and DOTD employees. A recent 24-hour study revealed only 3% (29/912) of drivers were wearing masks when speaking with toll collectors.
Masks must also be worn at any time inside of the GeauxPass Customer Service Center in Golden Meadow.
DOTD also encourages drivers to open a GeauxPass account to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 through contact. Motorists can open a GeauxPass account by calling customer service at 1-866-662-8997 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or by visiting www.geauxpass.com.
