DOTD completes hurricane removal in Capitol Region

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that all hurricane debris has been removed from state roadways in East Baton Rouge Parish following the impacts of Hurricane Delta.

Crews began debris pickup on October 19 and completed all passes on November 19. More than 2,200 cubic yards of vegetative storm debris was removed from all state roadways.

Hurricane debris removal efforts are still ongoing in other parishes across the state impacted by the storms. Residents can monitor 511la.org for the latest statistical information, debris routes where there has been a pass, and where planned debris pickup is scheduled.
