TRAFFIC SWAP: US 80 bridges over Fifi Bayou, Bossier Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the westbound lanes of US 80 over Fifi Bayou in Bossier Parish will be diverted to the newly constructed eastbound bridge via temporary crossovers.

During this traffic configuration, there will be one lane of traffic in each direction.

To ensure the safety of the traveling public, this traffic configuration will require the closure of the US 80 entrance to the parish-owned Tall Timbers park located near the Tall Timbers subdivision. The park can be accessed via the entrance on Tall Timbers Boulevard.

This traffic configuration is anticipated to last approximately six (6) months, and is necessary to allow the contractor to begin work on replacing the westbound bridge.

This $4.2 million ongoing project includes the replacement of both the eastbound and westbound bridges on US 80 over Fifi Bayou in Haughton. The entire project is on track to be complete in Spring 2021, weather permitting.
