UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 4 south of LA 499 in Jackson Parish


UPDATE: LA 4 in Jackson Parish has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 4 about a mile south of LA 499 in Jackson Parish is closed due to downed power lines and trees.

If you must travel, please do so with extreme caution and remember to never drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.

DOTD will issue a notification when the roadway has been reopened and is safe for travel.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
