LA 1 tolls to be reinstated today at 4 pm

Baton Rouge, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that tolls for the LA 1 bridge in Leeville will be reinstated today, August 28, at 4:00 pm. DOTD Secretary Shawn D. Wilson, Ph.D. issued an emergency order suspending tolls on August 21 to ease evacuations due to hurricanes Marco and Laura, and that order will be rescinded at 4:00 pm today.

As a reminder, DOTD is asking motorists to wear masks when using the cash/credit lane at the GeauxPass toll booth, as well as in public areas of the GeauxPass customer service center in Golden Meadow.

Before traveling, motorists are encouraged to check www.511la.org or dial 511 from their mobile phone for the latest on roadway conditions and incidents. Out-of-state travelers can access the system by calling 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).
