The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Friday, August 14, 2020 at 6:00 PM, weather permitting, the Southbound lane of LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive) at Susek Drive will be closed. This closure will start at Iris Park Drive and continue for approximately 700 feet to the southernmost driveway of Pineville Junior High. Iris Park Drive will also be closed at the intersection of LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive). This lane closure is needed to conduct follow-up work in the Southbound lane of LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive) and to pour concrete at the intersection of Iris Park Drive and LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive). This closure should last approximately 48 hours.

Permit/Detour Section
LA 28 (East) Westbound to LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).
Traffic from LA 28 (East) Westbound will be detoured onto US 167 (Pineville Expressway) Northbound followed by a right onto LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).

US 167 (Pineville Expressway) to LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).
Traffic from US 167 (Pineville Expressway) will be detoured onto LA 28 (East) Eastbound followed by a left onto LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 a.m., weather permitting, crews will be pouring concrete pavement at the intersection located at LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive) and Susek Drive. This pour should last approximately 8 hours. This night pour is needed due to the extreme heat during the day which is critical in reducing the evaporation rate (moisture loss) from concrete to minimize cracking according to DOTD specifications and in order to help with the overheating of work crews.

This pour should last approximately 6 hours. This night pour is needed due to the extreme heat during the day, which is critical in reducing the evaporation rate (moisture loss) from concrete to minimize cracking.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, July 20, 2020, at 2:00 a.m., and again on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 3:00 a.m., weather permitting, crews will be pouring concrete pavement at the intersection located at LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive) and Susek Drive. These pours should last approximately 8 hours each night/morning. These night pours are needed due to the extreme heat during the day, which is critical in reducing the evaporation rate (moisture loss) from concrete to minimize cracking according to DOTD specifications and in order to help with the overheating of work crews.



INTERSECTION CLOSURE: LA 3144 (Edgewood Dr.) at Susek Dr., Rapides Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the start date for the LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive) at Susek Drive roundabout project in Pineville, Rapides Parish has changed to Monday, May 18, 2020, from the original date of Monday, May 11, 2020.

The intersection closure will now begin on Monday, May 18, 2020.

The detour information is as follows:

LA 28 (East) Westbound to LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive)
Traffic from LA 28 (East) Westbound will be detoured onto US 167 (Pineville Expressway) Northbound followed by a right onto LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).

US 167 (Pineville Expressway) to LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive)
Traffic from US 167 (Pineville Expressway) will be detoured onto LA 28 (East) Eastbound followed by a left onto LA 3144 (Edgewood Drive).

Local traffic (residents within the project limits) will be maintained during construction with access ensured to their properties. ALL other vehicles must utilize the signed detours.
