UPDATE - NOW OPEN: LA 3049 near Cash Point, Caddo Parish
UPDATE: The replacement of the second bridge site is complete, and now LA 3049 (Dixie Shreveport Highway) is completely OPEN to traffic. Please be advised that crews and equipment may remain on site so drive carefully through the project areas.

UPDATE: The replacement of the first bridge site is complete, and on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the contractor will mobilize to the second bridge site, which is approximately five (5) miles north of the first site. This bridge will be closed for approximately 2.5 months. These rural bridges are being replaced with box culverts.
LA 3049 (Dixie Shreveport Highway) remains closed between Sentall and Cash Point in north Caddo Parish as this work progresses.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, January 20, 2020, LA 3049 (Dixie Shreveport Highway) will be closed between Sentell and Cash Point in north Caddo Parish for the removal of a bridge.
This closure is part of a project to remove and replace two rural bridges with box culverts. The work for the first bridge is expected to last approximately two months, with progress dependent on weather conditions.
Alternate Route: US 71 or I-49
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
