UPDATE - ROAD CLOSURE: US 84 (E. Carroll St.) at KCS Railroad crossing, Red River Parish
UPDATE: Reminder - this road closure has been RESCHEDULED for Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additionally, on Thursday, January 16th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., US 84 at this same railroad crossing in Coushatta will be reduced to one lane while KCS crews perform follow-up work related to the initial repairs.
Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone. Loads wider than 11 feet will not be permitted to pass through the lane closure.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Saturday, December 21, 2019, US 84 (E. Carroll St.) at the KCS Railroad crossing in Coushatta, Red River Parish will be closed.
This work is scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is necessary to allow KCS to make repairs to the railroad tracks.
Alternate Route: US 71 (Detour signs will be in place).
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
