Intermittent Traffic Interruptions: I-20 from I-220 in Bossier Parish to Pines Road in Caddo Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 9:00 p.m., a project to remove and replace approximately 90,000 reflectorized pavement buttons on I-20 eastbound and westbound from the I-220 interchange in Bossier Parish to the Pines Road interchange in Caddo Parish will begin.

This project will involve a moving operation, with no static lane closures. Access to interstate ramps may be temporarily disrupted as the operation moves through a particular area.

Motorists should be aware that this operation will be taking place NIGHTLY from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night.

Raised, reflectorized pavement buttons - also called raised pavement markers - are a safety device designed to make traffic lanes more visible, encouraging safer driving conditions.

This project is anticipated to be complete in January 2020, with progress dependent on weather conditions.
