Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) issued a Notice of Intent (NOI) for a new design-build (DB) project for the I-10 & I-12 College Flyover Ramp, as well as a NOI for a new public-private partnership project (P3) for the LA 3241: I-12 to Bush project.

The DB project will improve the I-10 westbound flow of traffic to College Drive by providing dedicated College Drive exit ramps from the I-10 and I-12 mainlines east of the I-10/I-12 merge. The NOI for this project can be found here.

“This is an another example of this administration using innovative procurement tools to address much-needed infrastructure improvements,” said DOTD Secretary Shawn Wilson, Ph.D. “States across the nation have been using design-build and public-private partnerships to improve infrastructure. This flyover ramp is much needed for safety and to help ease congestion in a major urban area. Additionally, the completion of LA 3241 will be a shining example of how innovative procurement tools can be utilized in rural areas.”

The P3 project consists of the construction of LA 3241 in St. Tammany Parish. The ultimate Project is a new 19.8 mile four-lane highway connecting I-12 to Bush, LA; an initial two-lane facility for the full length of the Project is required at a minimum. The ultimate build-out is dependent on the timing and availability of funding. The NOI for this project can be found here.

Letters of interest for both projects are due on August 8, 2019.
