RESCHEDULED - LANE CLOSURE: I-20 eastbound bridge over Red River, Bossier & Caddo Parishes


UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, this lane closure that was previously scheduled for July 14th for the purposes of routine bridge inspection has been RESCHEDULED for Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Sunday, July 14, 2019, the I-20 eastbound bridge over the Red River in Bossier & Caddo Parishes will be restricted to two lanes of traffic for routine bridge inspection.

Additionally, the I-20 eastbound on-ramp from LA 1 northbound and southbound (Market St. and Spring St.) will be closed for routine inspection.

This work is scheduled to take place from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Alternate route: LA 1 (Market and Spring Streets) traffic entering I-20 will need to detour to LA 3032 (Shreveport-Barksdale Highway) to US 71 (Barksdale Blvd.).

Traffic exiting onto Traffic Street will need to detour to LA 3 (Benton Road) to LA 72 (Barksdale Blvd.)

Restrictions/Permits: The lane closure on I-20 over Red River will allow vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller to pass through the bridge inspection zone. Larger vehicles must detour using LA 3094 to LA 1 to I-220.
