EXTENDED - US 90 westbound Frontage Road, Lafayette Parish, Lane Closure

UPDATE: THIS CLOSURE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO INCLUDE FRIDAY, MAY 17 FROM 7 A.M. TO 5 P.M., WEATHER PERMITTING.
US 90 westbound Frontage Road in Broussard, Lafayette Parish, will be closed Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to install asphalt on the US 90 westbound Frontage Road.
Traffic wanting to access US 90 westbound Frontage Road from LA 182 will be detoured to LA 96 to St. Nazaire Road where access to US 90 westbound and Frontage Road will be maintained.
Emergency vehicles will NOT have access to the area
As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening US 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along US 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in spring 2019.
