ROAD CLOSURE DUE TO HIGH WATER: LA 546 in Ouachita Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 546 at Booker Branch near Chad Lane in Ouachita Parish is CLOSED due to high water that has washed out the eastbound shoulder and lane of the roadway.

This closure is located about 0.5 miles north of the LA 151 and LA 546 intersection.

UPDATE: 4/16/19 The road will remain closed until the box culvert and roadway at this location have been repaired.

Motorists are reminded never to drive around ‘road closed’ barricades, or through standing or running water.

Alternate route: Detour signs have been placed to assist with going from LA 546 to LA 151 and I-20 to LA 546.
