UPDATE - REOPENED: Emergency lane closure: I-10 eastbound Jefferson Parish

**UPDATE: I-10 in Metairie is now fully opened for thru traffic following January 9th emergency repairs.**
METAIRIE – The Department of Transportation and Development announced today that the left lane of Interstate 10 in Metairie near Veterans Boulevard will be closed for an undetermined time so contractors can perform emergency repairs to the bridge piers and the underside of the roadway deck. This location suffered moderate fire damage after a crash early on Wednesday, Jan. 9. Also, the Power Boulevard on-ramp to Interstate 10 East will be closed during this time.
The left lane is closed for approximately half of a mile starting just west of the Veterans Boulevard Interchange.
Motorists may consider using alternate adjacent routes during this emergency repair.
