Jefferson Parish, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Friday, October 26 there will be lane closures associated with the construction on the Earhart Expressway exit ramp.

Southbound Clearview Blvd. (LA 3152) at the intersection of Earhart Expressway (LA 3139) in Metairie will be closed on Friday, October 26 at 9 p.m. to Saturday, October 27 at 8 a.m. and from Saturday October 27 at 6 p.m. to Monday, October 29 at 5 a.m. This complete road closure is necessary for work crews to perform bridge repair work.

The change in work hours will ensure that all lanes on Clearview Parkway will be open during the early voting hours at the Joseph S. Yenni Building.

The advised alternate route for motorists to use to avoid the closure is either Airline Drive (US 61) or Earhart Expressway (LA 3139) to Dickory Ave. (LA 3154) to Earhart Expressway (LA 3139) to Clearview Parkway (LA 3152).

This $640,000 project began in mid-August and is estimated to be completed November 2018, weather dependent. The purpose of the project is to repair the structural damage on the exit ramp and install new girders and pour a new bridge deck.
